There are several parks located within 20 minutes of Collegeville 19426. You will find most of them listed here. Looking for something to do in the Collegeville area, then checkout these local parks. From Green Lane to Valley Forge National Park there are plenty of outdoor recreation options.

There are over 10 recreational parks within 20 minutes of Collegeville to enjoy. From hiking, boating, fishing, running, bicycling, and walking there are many ways to get outside enjoy some fresh air and some exercise. All the parks listed are within a short drive from Collegeville.

Hill Road Boat Access in Green Lane Park

Located off of Hill Rd Green Lane

  • Great place to rent a boat for recreational use or fishing. The Hill Rd access has over 800 acres of water to keep you paddling or trolling around. Rent a kayak, canoe, or fishing boat.


Montgomery County Park Green Lane

Located 20 minutes outside of Collegeville off of Route 29 in Green Lane.

  • Beautiful natural park with so many options to spend your day from camping, hiking, tennis, boating, skating, sledding during winter, music at the amphitheater and more.


Valley Forge National Park

Located 10 minutes outside of Collegeville off of Route 23 in Valley Forge.

  • Massive historical park great for long walks, bike rides and history tours. A paved trail loops around the park allowing access to many of the open fields and off road trails. The Visitor Center is a great location to start for your first visit.


John James Audubon Center

Located off of Pawlings Rd in Audubon.

  • A beautiful nature park with natural trails for relaxation and bird watching.

 

Limerick Park (Manderach Park)

Located off of Swamp Pike Limerick.

  • Home of the massive Manderach Memorial Playground surrounded by basketball courts, baseball fields and a 1 mile paved walking/running track with workout stations. Pavilions and restrooms available.


Rambo Park, Water Works Park and Tot Lot

Located in Trappe. Rambo park is located on West Fifthth Ave, Water Works Park is located off of West First Ave, Tot Lot is located behind the Trappe Borrow Hall.

Playgrounds located at all 3 parks. Rambo and Water Works Parks include walking paths and nature areas. Ball fields are located at Water Works park. Water Works Park is home to the annual Trappe Community Day.

 

Evansburg State Park

Located along the Skippack Creek, the main park entrance is off of Evansburg Rd and Mill Rd

  • Lots of green space with hiking, fishing and horseback riding along the Skippack Creek. There are pavilions are available for use.

 

Central Perkiomen Valley Park

Located off of Route 29 and Plank Rd outside of Schwenksville.

  • Great place to park for a ride or hike on the Perkiomen Trail or just spend time along the Perkiomen Creek fishing or meet with friends for a cook out.

Black Rock Sanctuary

Located off Black Rock Rd (Route 113) in Phoenixville

  • Over 100 acres of natural area including wetlands, basin and meadows. A beautiful wildlife habitat with 2 trails and look outs for viewing.

 

Palmer Park

Located in Skippack off of Rte 113 and Heckler Rd

  • Over 50 acres open space preserved for recreation. Enjoy the 2 mile walking loop that passes by open fields, wooded area, baseball fields, tennis courts and basketball courts.

 

Lower Perkiomen Valley Park

Located off of New Mill Rd in Oaks

  • Another nice park location along the Perkiomen Creek. A hub for 3 bike trails Perkiomen Trail, Schuykill River Trail and Audubon Loop

Norristown Farm Park

Off of West Germantown Pike

  • Great place to go for a walk, run, fishing or even roller blading. The park has a connecting trail to the Schuylkill River Trail.


Lock 60 Canal

Off of Bridge Street in Mont Clare just outside of downtown Phoenixville

  • Great place to see some canal history and take a walk or nature hike.

Upper Schuylkill Valley Park

Just off of Route 113

  • Multiple things to do here like visit the wildlife farm, fish, hike, launch your none motorized boat or watch the boats go by on the Schuylkill River
